1. How to change your phone’s fonts
To change the fonts on your Camon 15 phone, all you have to do is;
- Locate the Tecno “Hi Theme” app icon on your home screen or app drawer.
- When found, tap on it to open it.
- When opened, tap on the “Discovery” option from the roll of options located at the bottom of your phone’s screen.
- From there, select “Font“, and you’ll be ushered into a new page with a large collection of fonts that you can choose from.
- Simply select any font of your choice, and you’ll be taken to a page where you’ll be promted to download the said font.
- When you’re done downloading it, you should see an “Apply” button on your phone’s screen, and with that, simply go ahead and apply the font you just downloaded on your phone. #cheers.

2. How to enable the magazine lock screen feature (lock screen automatic wallpaper changer)
If you enjoy seeing different wallpapers applied to your phone’s lock screen whenever you pick it up, then you’ll definitely love having this feature on your Camon 15 smartphone.
What it does is, automatically changes your phone’s lock screen wallpaper whenever you lock and unlock the phone.
And to set up this feature on your Tecno Camon 15, 15 Pro/Premier, and 15 Air smartphones, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s main settings page.
- Locate and tap the “Theme and lockscreen” setting option, and you’ll be taken to a new page.
- From this new page, you should see the “Magazine lockscreen settings” option.
- Tap on it to open it, and simply go ahead and enable the feature.
After that, the next time you lock your phone and try to unlock it by first pressing the power button, you should see that a new lock screen wallpaper has been automatically applied for you, and it will keep changing as you keep on locking and unlocking your phone.
Usability tips and tricks for the Tecno Camon 15, 15 Pro/Premier, & 15 Air.
1. How to enable/disable dark mode
Follow these steps to enable and disable dark mode on your Tecno Camon 15 smartphone.
- Simply drag down your phone’s notification tray twice to reveal the quick setting toggles.
- From the toggles, locate the one that says “Dark theme“, tap on it once, and your phone will automatically switch to dark mode.
Second Method
- Go to your phone’s main settings menu.
- Go to “Display” option.
- From there, you should an option labeled “Dark theme” with a toggle button in front of it.
- Tap on the toggle button to turn it on, and that is it, your phone will automatically switch to dark mode.
2. How to enable/disable “Eye Care” mode, a.k.a Blue light filter
“Eye Care” is Tecno’s fancy way of calling the blue light filter feature found on most smartphones today, and what it does is simply add a grey or yellowish hue to your phone’s display, in a bid to reduce the amount of blue light being emitted by it.
And to activate this feature on your Tecno Camon 15 phone, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s main settings page.
- Go to the “Display” setting option.
- Locate the option labeled “Eye Care“, tap on it to open it.
- From here, you can turn it on, set it to turn and off automatically at scheduled times, etc.
3. How to enable and use split screen mode your Tecno Camon 15
Split-screen multitasking is a feature that was introduced with Android 8.0 Oreo version, and it allows you to use two apps at the same time, side by side on your phone’s screen.
To enable this feature on your Tecno Camon 15, 15 Pro/Premier, and 15 Air smartphones, all you have to do is;
- Open an app, any app of your choice, say something like the YouTube app.
- Go to your phone’s recent apps page by pressing the recent apps button (minimize button), or by using the swipe up and hold gesture if you use gesture navigation on your phone.
- On the YouTube’s app window, you should see a button that looks like two slices of rectangles with one placed on the other, that is the split screen multitasking button.
- Tap on it, and the YouTube app will be shifted to the upper third of your phone’s screen, while giving you the option to select a second app that you can use along with it.
- You can select this second app right there from your recent apps page, or you can go to your phone’s app drawer to do so.
- When you’ve selected the second app, it will automatically take its position at the lower portion of your phone’s screen, right below the YouTube app.
- And with that, you have successfully enabled split screen multitasking mode on your phone, and you can use the two apps simultaneously. #cheers.
4. How to take scroll shots on your Tecno Camon 15 smartphones, a.k.a longer screenshots
In case you haven’t heard of it before, “scroll shots” is simply a way of capturing and fitting more characters or elements into a single screenshot.
For example, say you want to capture an entire Facebook thread from top to bottom without taking multiple screenshots of the entire page, all you have to do is simply take a scroll shot instead of a screenshot, and with that, you’ll be able to capture and fit in everything in a single screenshot.
And to do that, all you have to do is;
- First of all start by taking a normal screenshot on your phone by holding the “Vol down + power button“.
- When the screenshot has been taken, you should see a roll of options at the bottom of your phone’s screen.
- From these options, tap on the one that says “scrollshot“, and you will be given the option to keep scrolling down the remaining parts of the page, while your phone automatically keeps capturing them.
- After that, you can go ahead and save the said picture.

5. How to accept incoming calls using your Camon 15’s fingerprint sensor
Do you know that you can accept phone calls using the fingerprint sensor on your Camon 15 smartphones? Well, now you know.
And to do, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s main settings page.
- Go to “Security“.
- Select “Fingerprint“, and a new page will be opened to you.
- From this new page, you should see the option to accept calls using the fingerprint sensor, simply enable this option, and that is all.
From now henceforth, you can simply pick up incoming calls on your Tecno Camon 15, 15 Pro, Premier, and 15 Air smartphones by just placing your finger on the fingerprint sensor.
6. How to take photos using your fingerprint sensor
This trick is very similar to the one we just discussed above, and even the process of activating it is pretty much the same too.
All you have to do is;
- Follow the same steps from the last trick above, that is, phone’s main settings page >> Security >> Fingerprint.
- From the fingerprint settings page, simply go ahead and activate the one that says “Take photo“, and with that, you can now take photos by just placing your finger on the Camon 15’s fingerprint sensor.
7. How to show your network internet speed on your phone’s status bar
If you’re one of those people like me that likes to see how fast their mobile data network is, then you’ll appreciate this trick. It simply shows you your current mobile network internet browsing speed on your phone’s status bar.
And to get this activated on your Camon 15 smartphone, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s main settings page.
- Go to “Network & Internet” setting option.
- You should see an option labeled “Status bar network speed display” with a toggle button in front of it.
- Tap on the toggle button to enable it, and that is all.
From this moment onwards, you should be able to see how fast or slow your mobile internet connection is right there on your Camon 15’s status bar.
8. How to enable flash light for incoming calls
If you’re the type that likes putting your smartphone on silent or vibration mode, but still needs a way to be alerted when you have an incoming call, then this feature is for you.
It simply flashes your Camon 15 rear flashlight when you have an incoming call to notify you of it, and to activate this feature on your phone, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s call dialer app.
- From the app’s screen, you should a vertical three-dot button located at the top far right corner of your phone’s screen, tap on it, and some options will pop out from it.
- Tap on the “Settings” option, and you’ll be taken to a new page.
- From this new page, tap the “Flash for calls” option, and you’ll be taken another new page with a toggle button that you can press to activate the feature, and that is all.
So, after activating the feature, the next time you have an incoming call on your Tecno Camon 15, 15 Pro, Premier, and Camon 15 Air smartphones, your rear camera flashlight should start flashing its light to notify you of the said call.
9. How to disable app notifications on your Tecno Camon 15 smartphones
If for any reason, you want to stop receiving notifications from a certain app or apps on your Tecno Camon 15 smartphone, probably due to their intrusive nature, or they tend to clog up your phone’s notification area.
For example, personally, I’ve disabled receiving notifications from apps such as Scooper news, and the Phoenix browser app, because they come in literally like every second of the time.
So, to do the same on your Camon 15 phone, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s main settings page.
- Go to the “Apps & notifications” setting option.
- Select “See all apps” to see all the apps installed on your phone.
- Simply tap on the app you want to disable notifications for, and you’ll be taken to the app’s own settings page.
- From there, go to “Notifications“, and you’ll be taken to the app’s notifications page, from where you’ll be able to adjust what type of notifications you only want to be getting from the app, or simply turn off all notifications from the app entirely.
10. How to clean junk files from your phone, and make it faster
If you’ve ever felt your phone becoming slow in carrying out its day-to-day activities like opening apps and keeping them open in the background, then one very culprit of this might be the presence of junks files in your phone.
And to clean these junk files from your phone, all you have to do is;
- Simply locate the “Phone Master” app icon either from your home screen, or in your app drawer.
- Tap on it to open it.
- From the app’s homepage, you should see the option to clean junk files right there on the home screen.
- And in case you want to go more indepth and clean even more specific files, you can simply tap the “Junk files” icon on the app’s homepage, and you’ll be taken to a new page where you can select specific files and apps to clean.
11. How to enable & use the double tap to wake feature on your Camon 15 smartphone
In case you’re looking for a more convenient way of waking up your phone’s screen without pressing the power button, then you’ll definitely appreciate the double-tap to wake feature.
It’s a feature that lets you tap two times on your phone screen to turn it on when the phone is locked, and you can equally do same to turn it off too.
To get this on your Camon 15, 15 Pro, Premier, and 15 Air smartphones, all you have to do is;
- Go to your main settings page.
- Go to the “Micro intelligence” option, and you’ll be taken to a new page with lot of options, and individual toggle buttons in front of each of them.
- Simply locate the one that says “Tapping wake” and tap the toggle button in front of it to activate it.
- Once you’ve done so, you can double tap your phone’s screen anytime you like either to turn it off, or to turn it on as well.
- Double tapping to turn off your phone’s screen only works in your home screen though.
12. How to enable & use the “Lift to wake” feature on your Camon 15 phones
Aside from double-tapping to wake up your phone’s screen, there’s another cool feature called the “Lift to wake” that automatically lights up your phone’s screen the moment you lift it up to your face.
And to activate this feature, all you have to do is;
- Go back to your phone’s main settings page, and go to the Micro intelligence setting option once again.
- From the list of options shown to you, simply locate the one that says “Smart screen lighting” and press the toggle button in front of it to get it activated.
- After doing that, the next time your phone is locked with the screen turned off, the moment you lift up to your face, the screen will turn back on, and when you lower it down, the screen goes off. Cool feature right?
13. How to activate and use “Smart panel” on your Tecno Camon 15 phones
In case you never knew, “Smart panel‘ is Tecno’s own way of replicating the iconic Edge panels found on Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
It allows you to have access to some apps and quick settings on your phone, by just swiping in from either the left or right edge of your smartphone.
And to activate this feature on your Camon 15 smartphones, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s main settings page.
- Locate and tap on the option that says “Smart panel“.
- You will see a button you can press to activate the feature.
- When done, you should see a pill shaped button that will be attached to either the left or right edge of your phone screen.
- You can then swipe in from this button to see your smart panel apps and setting options.
- You can customize them by removing the apps and setting options you don’t need, and replacing them with the ones you need.
- And you can even drag the smart panel button and place it on your most convenient place that you want it to be on your phone’s screen.
Call tips and tricks for the Tecno Camon 15, 15 Pro, Premier, & 15 Air.
1. How to automatically record voice calls on your Camon 15 smartphones
If for any reason, you want to keep records of all your voice calls on your Tecno Camon smartphone, all you have to do is simply activate the automatic voice call recording feature, and all calls, both incoming and outgoing, will be automatically recorded and saved for you in your smartphone.
To get this feature activated, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s call dialer app.
- You should see a vertical three-dot button at the far right corner at the top of your phone’s screen.
- Tap on it, and some options will pop out from it.
- From these options, tap the “Enable auto call recording” option, and you’re good to go.
2. How to see all blocked phone numbers on your phone
In case you’re the type that enjoys blocking people’s phone numbers on your phone, and you’re looking for a way to see those blocked numbers, well, say no more.
- Simply go back to your phone’s call dialer app for one more time, and tap on the vertical three-dot button just like you did from the last trick above.
- From the list of options shown to you, tap on the one that says “Settings“, and you will be taken to a new page.
- From this page, select the option that says “Blocked numbers“, and from there, you can see all the phone numbers that you have blocked so far on your phone, and you can do whatever you wish with them from there.
3. How to see all your call history
If for any reason you want to have a look at the entire call history on your phone, well, that’s easy, all you have to do is;
- For one last time, go your phone’s call dialer app, and tap on the vertical three-dot button at the far right corner at the top of your phone’s screen.
- Like before, some options will pop out from it when you do so, simply tap the one that says “Call history” and that is it.
- You can now see the entire call history of your Tecno Camon 15, 15 Pro, Premier, and 15 Air smartphones.
Guide to using gesture controls on your Tecno Camon 15.
1. How to enable the Tecno Camon 15 home screen gestures, and use them
With the Camon 15 phones, you can make use of swipe gestures to control and access literally every part of your phone’s home screen.
You can launch apps with them, pull down your notification tray, access your phone’s home screen or desktop settings, etc.
And to enable these gesture controls on your phone, all you have to do is;
- From your phone’s home screen, tap and hold on any empty space there till the home screen setting options pops out on the screen.
- From these setting options, go to “Desktop setting” and you’ll be taken to a new page.
- From this new page, tap on the option that says “Gesture settings“, and a newer page with a host of swipe gesture options will be shown to you.
- From here, you can literally assign actions to each of the swipe gesture movements, such as pulling down the notification tray with a swipe down gesture using a single finger, going to your app drawer with a swipe up gesture, and so much more.
2. How to launch apps on your Tecno Camon 15 using off-screen gesture controls
Aside from the home screen gesture controls on the Camon 15 phones which required the phone’s screen to be on before you can do any of them, there are also a set of additional gesture controls you can perform even when the phone’s screen is off, with one of them being the ability to launch apps while the phone’s screen is turned off.
So, how do you get this?
Simple.
- Go to your phone’s main settings page.
- Locate the “Micro intelligence” setting option and tap on it to open it.
- From the micro intelligence setting page, you should see an option labeled “Quick start“, and first turn on the toggle button in front of it to get it activated.
- After that, tap on the “Quick start” option itself to go into its own settings page.
- And from here, you can assign different apps to different swipe gestures.
For example, you can draw the letter “C” on your phone’s screen when it’s off to launch the camera app, “W” for WhatsApp, “M” for music, and so on, and so forth.
3. How to control music playback on your phone using gesture controls, when the screen is off
If you’re the type that enjoys listening to lots of music on your phone, this is one cool trick that can even make your experience more enjoyable and satisfying on the Camon 15 phones.
With this feature, you can control the music playback of your phone by using simple swipe gesture controls, even without turning on the phone’s screen in the first place.
With this, you can Play, Pause, skip to the next track, and even go back to the previous track without turning on your phone’s screen.
All you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s main settings page, and go to the “Micro intelligence” setting option.
- From the micro intelligence settings page, you should see the option labeld “Music gesture“.
- Tap on the toggle button in front of it to get it activated, and with that, the next time music is being played on your phone with the screen turned off, you can swipe up on your screen to pause, down to play, left and right swipes to skip to the previous track and next track respectively.
4. How to turn on and start using navigation gestures on your Tecno Camon 15
Navigation gestures or gesture navigation was introduced on android smartphones with the launch of android 10 to replace the good old three-button navigation system that is still found on smartphones today.
But with navigation gestures, you can swipe from either side (left or right) of your phone’s screen to go back, a long swipe up from the bottom of your phone’s screen takes you to your home screen, while a swipe and hold gesture takes you to the recent apps page.
So, to get this feature activated on your Tecno Camon 15 smartphones, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s main settings page.
- Locate and tap on the “System navigation” setting option.
- Your phone should be set to the traditional three-button navigation option by default, simply change that to “Gesture navigation“, and you’re good to go.
Battery management tips and tricks for the Tecno Camon 15, 15 Pro, Premier, and 15 Air.
1. How to show your phone’s battery percentage on the status bar
To display your phone’s current battery percentage on the status bar, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s main settings page.
- Locate and tap on the “Battery lab” setting option.
- From there, you should see an option labeled “Battery percentage“.
- Tap on it, and you should start seeing your current battery percentage right inside the battery bar icon on your phone’s status bar.
2. How to activate power saving mode, and ultra power saving mode
Power saving mode when activated, helps you to squiz out more juice from your phone’s battery life, especially when your battery is running low.
And to activate this on your Camon 15 smartphones, simply;
- Go to your phone’s main settings page.
- Go to “Battery lab“, and from there, go to “AI smart power saving“.
- And from there, you should see an option labeled “Smart power saving” with a togle button in front of it.
- Tap on the toggle button to get it activated.
- Then there’s a second option right on that same page labeled “Battery saver“, tap on it open it, and you’ll be taken to a new page.
- On this new page, you should see a button that says “Turn on“, simply go ahead and tap on it, and that is all.
You have successfully activated power saving mode on your Tecno Camon 15, 15 Pro, 15 Premier, and 15 Air smartphone. Do note that you can also follow these same steps to deactivate the feature whenever needed.
3. How to see your phone’s entire battery usage statistics
To see the entire battery usage statistics on your Camon 15, 15 Pro/Premier, and Camon 15 Air smartphones, all you have to do is;
- For the last time, go to your phone’s main settings menu page.
- Once again, go to the “Battery lab” setting option.
- On the battery lab settings page, you should see an option labeled “Battery usage“, tap on it to open it.
- And from there, you can see your phone’s entire battery usage statistics.
Social media tips and tricks for the Tecno Camon 15, 15 Pro/Premier, and 15 Air.
1. How to record WhatsApp voice calls on your Camon 15 phones
Just the same way you can record normal voice calls on your smartphones, with the Camon 15(s), you can also have a recording of your WhatsApp voice calls.
And to do so, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s main settings page.
- Locate and tap on the option labeled “Social turbo“.
- On the social turbo page, you will see an option labeled “Voice Recorder“, tap on it to open it.
- From the voice recorder’s page, you will see a button at the bottom of your phoe screen to activate the feature, simply tap on it, and you’re good to go.
So, with this feature activated on your phone, the next time you’re making a WhatsApp voice call, you’ll see a record button on your phone’s screen that lets you record the said conversation.
All your voice recordings will be saved in the WhatsApp voice recorder social turbo settings page.
2. How to read deleted WhatsApp messages on your Tecno Camon 15 phones
To read deleted WhatsApp messages on your Camon 15 smartphones, all you have to do is;
- Go back to your phone’s main settings page, and go to the “Social turbo” setting option.
- On the social turbo settings page, you will see an option labeled “Peek Mode“, tap on it to open it.
- You will be taken to a new page where you will be required to activate the feature.
With this feature activated, when next someone sends you a message on WhatsApp and later goes on to delete it, you can go always go to the peek mode settings page to see such messages.
3. How to read messages without the sender knowing
If for any reason you want to read your WhatsApp messages without alerting the senders, you can easily do so on your Tecno Camon 15 smartphones, even without downloading any third-party apps.
And to do so;
- Simply go back to your phone’s main settings page, locate and go to “Social turbo” for the last time.
- And if you haven’t done it before, simply activate the peek mode option, and with this, when you read messages on your WhatsApp app, the senders won’t receive the blue confirmation tick.
Advanced tips and tricks for the Tecno Camon 15 phones.
1. How to hide apps
To hide apps on your Tecno Camon 15 smartphones, all you have to do is;
- Go to your phone’s home screen, tap and hold on an empty space on the home screen till the home screen setting options pop out.
- Go to “Desktop settings“.
- From the desktop settings page, you should see the “Hide Apps” option, tap on it to open it.
- You will be taken to a new page from where you be required to choose the apps you wish to stay hidden.
- Simply select the apps of your choice, and that’s all.
Hidden apps will have their icons removed anywhere from your phone’s home screen, or your app drawer. the only way to have access to those apps is by following the steps above to go back to the “Hide apps” page.

2. How to lock apps using a password, face unlock, or fingerprint
Aside from hiding apps, you can also lock apps on your Camon 15 smartphones by setting a password, using your fingerprints, or even with the face unlock feature.
To do so, simply follow the steps below.
- Locate the “Phone Master” app icon either from your phone’s home screen, or from your app drawer, and tap on it to open it.
- From the phone master app, you should see an icon labeled “App Lock“, tap on it to go into it.
- From the app lock’s page, you should be able to see all the apps installed on your phone with a padlock icon in front of each one of them.
- Tap on the padlock button for any of your desired app to lock it, and after choosing all the apps you want to be locked, you will be promted to draw an unlock pattern for them, or simply use a password.
- After doing so, you can go into the app lock settings page by tapping on the vertical three-dot button located at the top right corner of your phone screen, and select the option to add fingerprint to unlock or the face unlock option.
So, after doing all that, the next time you try to open any of the apps which you have chosen to be locked, you will be first prompted to unlock it by entering the password, or by using your fingerprints if you chose that option.

3. How to freeze apps on your Tecno Camon 15 smartphones
Freezing apps is a fancy way of disabling apps on your Tecno Camon 15 smartphones. You won’t receive notifications from frozen apps, in fact, they will act like they weren’t even installed on your phone in the first place.
And how do you do this?
Well, simple.
- Check on your phone’s home screen, and you should see an icon that says “Freezer“.
- Tap on it to open it.
- Tap on the “Add” icon inside the freezer folder to add as many apps as you’d like frozen.
