“Will Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro ever get Android 9.0 Pie update?” and “When will the Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro get the supposed Android 9 Pie update?”.. You see, these are two different questions, which will be answered separately.
Now for the question of “Will“, you see i’m sorry to disappoint you, but i don’t think they will ever get it. Now this is not an official report or answer from Infinix Mobility, nor has the said Infinix Mobility even said anything as to whether their much loved Note 4 and Note 4 Pro devices will be getting the Android 9.0 Pie Update anytime sooner or later, no, this is just me speaking from my imaginations, or assumptions rather.
And the reason why i said so or believe so is; first of all, no Infinix phone has ever gotten a two years of Android software update. Let’s take a close look back at the history of the rising and falling of some past Infinix phones.
Let’s use the iconic and flagship Infinix Zero 3 as an example. The Infinix Zero 3 was launched in 2016 with Android 5.1 Lollipop version out of the box. Then the only one and single android version software update it got was the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and introduction to XOS 3.0 Chameleon.
After that update, this same flagship Infinix Zero 3 smart phone, didn’t and hasn’t gotten any other update till date, and as we speak right now, its still languishing in Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Now after the Zero 3 had come and gone, we got another flagship phone from the same Infinix in the following year which is 2017, the Infinix Zero 4 and the Zero 4 Plus.
These two phones once again launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. A few months later, they got the update for Android 7.0 Nougat, and after that particular update, their chapters were abruptly closed, and Infinix including everyone started looking forward to the next Zero phone, which in this case, are the Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro smart phones.

Now the Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro were launched during late November in 2017 and were the flagship phones till 2018. Now even during the time of their launch, Infinix promised its fans that they were going to get a one time android version update, from the 7.0 Nougat which they came with, to Android 8.1 Oreo.
But need i tell you that, that promise was never fulfilled and still, is never going to be fulfilled even till tomorrow. And as we speak right now, I’m happy to tell you that those flagship Infinix Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro smart phones which were the best Infinix Zero phones during their time, are still languishing and wasting away in Android 7.0 Nougat, with no hope for 8.1 Oreo in the nearest future. Let’s not even talk about whether they’ll be getting the latest Android Pie update or not, because that will be a clear suicidal thing to do.

So back to our discussion as to whether the Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro smart phones will be getting Android Pie update or not.
You see, first of all, these both phones were launched during the same year that the Zero 5 and 5 Pro were launched, and with the same Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and so far so good, i think they’ve already gotten their own share of Infinix one time android version software update sometime around early last year or so, and that was when they got updated to Android 8.1 Oreo.
And i think with that particular update, Infinix has supposedly closed the chapters for them Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro users, maybe they’ve probably forgotten that they once had an Infinix device called the Note 4, and has probably shifted all their attentions to their current and latest Note devices, the Infinix Note 5 and the Note 5 Stylus.

Okay that’s enough for the question of “Will the Infinix Note 4 ever get Android Pie update?“. Now let’s move on and try to answer the question of “When are they getting this update, maybe if a miracle decides to happen tomorrow“.
Now first of all, and as you already know, there is a 0.01% chance that they might be getting this update, and even if maybe by luck or by miracle, they finally get it, you see, that time is not now, and that miracle is probably not gonna be happening anytime from tomorrow or in the next couple of months to come.
It will probably happen when Google and everyone has started shifting their attentions to the next version of android to come (Android 10 Q), and that is when you guys might be getting Android Pie update for your Infinix Note 4 and Note 4 Pro smart phones.
Now before you people will start stoning, bashing, lashing, and raining down your frustrations on me in the comments section, i just want to let you all know that, this is not, and was never intended to be a hate speech towards Infinix or the Note 4 users out there, No, this is just my own way of letting Infinix know that they need to let their fans know that they were and will never be forgotten.
This is my way of letting them know that you don’t just keep releasing a bunch of same recycled phones every year and not update the old ones so they can all move along with the trend. It is not everyone that has money to keep changing or buying new phones every year. Even if you don’t want to continuously update your phones, but at least, first fulfill the promise of android’s two years version update.
And as for your Infinix Zero 5 and Zero 5 Pro smart phones which are still roaming about in the streets of Android 7.1 Nougat, please do something about it.. #Thanks..
