New Tecno Camon 17 Phone Stars In Fresh Leaks, Sets To Launch In Kenya Soon.

Okay, so, barely a year that Tecno took the veils off its Camon 16 series from its Camon smartphones lineup, and today, we’re already seeing some real-life photos of the successor to the regular Tecno Camon 16, the Tecno Camon 17.

According to GSMArena, the phone will be launching in Kenya soon, as Tecno has already sent the phone to retailers in Kenya already.

So, in terms of specs, what do we have here?

Well, a couple of upgrades as expected of any new smartphone replacing their old models, but, with a couple of downgrades as well.

So, on here, we get a 6.55 Inches sized display panel, which is of the LCD type, and the resolution tops out at 720p.

In comparison, the Camon 16 from last year has exactly the same display characteristics, but comes in a 6.8 Inches sized panel.

One thing that has been upgraded on the Camon 17 model this year is the Mediatek Helio G85 processor that it comes with, as opposed to the Helio G70 that was on the Camon 16 model.

You get 4 Gigabytes of RAM, and 128 Gigabytes of internal storage for the base configuration, and we’re pretty sure that there’s gonna be other RAM and storage configurations, which will be available when the phone finally launches.

Now, one aspect where Tecno has made some confusing upgrades and downgrades here and there, is on the cameras.

To start with, the Camon 17 comes with a 48MP main sensor, which is a downgrade from the 64MP one on the 16.

But, to compensate for that, Tecno has fitted a 16MP ultrawide sensor on the Camon 17, where the Camon 16 had none, and even top-tier Tecno phones like the Camon 16 Premier had to manage with a 8MP sensor.

Then, on the front is an 8MP sensor, which is, once again, a downgrade from the 16MP front-facing snapper that was on the Camon 16.

The Tecno Camon 17 boots Android 11 out of the box, which is in turn, has a makeover of Tecno’s HiOS version 7.6 on it.

The phone is further equipped with a 5000mAh battery tank to keep the lights on, and no one knows for sure if this phone has any form of fast charging on it.

So, that’s it about the coming Tecno Camon 17 smartphone for now. Kindly let us know what you think about this phone in the comments section below, and also give this post a thumbs up by sharing it if you enjoyed reading it.

And as always, I’ll see you all tomorrow, #Peace Out.
