10+ Best Infinix Phones To Buy In 2020, Their Specifications, Features, and Prices.

Best Infinix phones to buy in 2019 and 2020.

Well..

Now Infinix Mobility is with no doubts, one of the biggest players in the league of smartphones both in Nigeria, and other African markets as a whole, together with the likes of Tecno and iTel, even though we all know that they are all three persons in one body. “Transsion Holdings, i see what you did there..”

So due to this fact, there are pretty quite a lot these Infinix devices scattered all over the market, thereby making it hard for an average person to make his/her “perfect” choice when going to buy a new Infinix smartphone.

And because of that, today we’ll be listing out some of the best Infinix phones that you can get your hands on right now, starting from the very best, down to the least good.

And without further ado, let’s get started.. #Enjoy

Best Infinix phones - Infinix Zero 8

Now listen to this;

Without mincing words here, the Infinix Zero 8 as at when writing this article, is currently the very best, the most powerful, and the most expensive Infinix smartphone that you can get your hands on right now.

It boasts of the deadly gaming optimized Mediatek Helio G90T SoC that is paired to a mouth gaping 8GB of RAM, which is further wired down to a chunky 128GB of internal storage that can even further be expanded via a MicroSD card.

As if that isn’t enough, this also happens to be the first and only Infinix phone as at the moment to wield a 90Hz screen refresh rate out of the box, which makes it the ideal phone for very heavy gaming, and it even leaves the likes of the Infinix Note 7 in the dust which was originally themed and marketed as a gaming-centric smartphone.

On the back of the phone, you’re getting a 64MP Quad camera system that comprises of one 64MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a second 2MP lens for taking macro (closeup) shots.

The front is characterized by a gigantic 48MP main lens that is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens.

The Infinix Zero 8 can record videos at a 4k resolution at a 30fps for both the front and back cameras, and can even do superslow motion video recording at a time-freezing 960fps that is capped at 720p resolution.

Cool right?

Now they say that “with great honor, comes great responsibility”, and with that, I’d like you to know that the Infinix Zero 8 is not your regular sub-$200 Infinix mobile phone, as this one crosses over the $250 price tag, which should be around 115,000 – 120,000 in Nigerian nairas.

So if you have that amount of cash to spend on a smartphone, and you want all the goodness that one could get out of an Infinix mobile device, then the Infinix Zero 8 is definitely the phone you should be looking up to.

As at the time of writing of this article, the Infinix Zero 8 is currently on sale on Infinix official online retail store “XPark“, and it is being sold for a price tag of 116,900 NGN.

For those who are interested in it, you can get it when you simply click on this link.

Psst… There are just so many good things about the Infinix Zero 8, so many that we can’t cover them all in this short article. So to see our complete unboxing and quick impressions of the smartphone, you should simply tap or click on the link below.

2. Infinix Note 7

  • 6.95 Inches 720p (HD+) IPS LCD hole-punch display.
  • 48MP Quad rear camera setup.
  • 16MP Front-facing lens.
  • No Stylus (X-Pen).
  • Mediatek Helio G70 (12nm) Processor.
  • 4GB RAM + 64/128GB Storage, or 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage.
  • Android™ 10+ XOS 6 Dolphin.
  • 5000mAh Battery + 18W Fast Charging.
  • Price: 71,500 NGN.
Infinix Note 7

The Infinix Note 7 coming as the second most powerful Infinix phone after the Zero 8, is among the first few Infinix phones to launch in 2020, and trust me when i say that this phone packs one hell of a punch.

Armed with a humongous 6.95 Inches display (the largest on any Infinix smartphone till date), one out of the new gaming-focused processor series from Mediatek, the Mediatek Helio G70, Android™ 10 out of the box, a manageable 4GB of RAM size that is paired to a 64GB or 128GB of storage size (depending on the variant you go for), and a beefy 5000mAh battery that can do fast battery charging of up to 18W, then we can confidently say that the new Infinix Note 7 is aimed for chronic mobile gamers, and heavy media consumers.

Though it has its downsides and its own fair share of critics as well. Things such as the lack of a Full HD+ OLED display like its predecessor, and the absence of an X-Pen which the Infinix Note series has been popularly known for.

But if none of those bother you, and you just want a smartphone with raw and an untamed performance, a die-hard battery that can go from zero to a reasonable amount in no time, and you have the cash to throw on it, then nothing should hinder you from getting the Infinix Note 7.

The phone is currently available for purchase on both Jumia online store and Infinix official online retail store, XPark, and prices vary slightly across both platforms.

  • Android™ 10 + XOS 6.0 Dolphin.
  • 4000mAh Battery.
  • Price: 72,200 NGN.
Infinix S5 Pro

Now, if you’re looking for a smartphone that combines both style, class, and camera prowess in one body, then the S5 Pro is the ideal phone for you.

Badging in with another stern-looking 6.53 Inches 1080p (Full HD+) display as opposed to the regular 720p (HD+) one on the Note 7, the Infinix S5 Pro will give you more clarity and crispness when gaming and consuming media on it.

In addition to that, the Infinix S5 Pro happens to be the first and only Infinix smartphone as at the time of writing this article, to ship with a pop-up camera display, which means that the display is free from any notch or hole punches, and which in turn simply translates to an immersive viewing experience.

Aside from the high-resolution display, this phone comes running Android 10 out of the box, alongside Infinix XOS 6.0 Dolphin (the first actually).

Read AlsoInfinix XOS 6 Dolphin UI review (Everything you need to know about Infinix latest version of its customized OS).

It also ships with the same Mediatek MT6765 Helio P35 processor from the Infinix Note 6 of last year, making it even more powerful than the Note 6 itself. Because while the Note 6 maxes out at 4GB of RAM, the S5 Pro takes it even a step further by up to 6GB, and glued firmly to a 128GB of storage.

The S5 Pro also happens to be the first Infinix phone to ever ship with a 48MP rear-facing camera, and another 40MP front-facing one, though there are versions with 16MP rear-facing camera, and either a 32MP or 16MP front-facing camera.

The S5 Pro is available and currently on sale on both Jumia online store and Infinix official online retail store, and the price varies greatly across both platforms. 72,200 NGN on Infinix XPark, and 77,500 NGN on Jumia online store.

4. Best Infinix Phones: Infinix Note 7 Lite

  • 6.6 Inches 720p HD+ LCD Hole-punch display.
  • 48MP Triple rear camera setup.
  • 8MP Front-facing lens.
  • Mediatek Helio G70 (12nm) Processor.
  • 4GB of RAM + 64/128GB of storage.
  • Android™ 10+ XOS 6 Dolphin UI.
  • 5000mAh battery (no fast charging support).
  • Price: 64,200 NGN.

Now if you want to get the same raw performance of the original Infinix Note 7, but in a smaller and more compact form factor and at a slightly lower price, then the Note 7 Lite is definitely the phone for you.

Packing in the same Mediatek Helio G70 SoC as its elder brother, same 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and even with the same 48MP main camera lens, and then it trims things down by shipping with a 6.6 Inches display instead of the 6.95 Inches that we saw on the original Note 7, we can confidently say that the Infinix Note 7 Lite is an ideal phone for both chronic gamers and heavy media consumers, just like its elder brother, the Note 7.

Left for me, I’ll say that the only thing missing on the Note 7 Lite from the original Note 7 is the absence of the 18W fast battery charging that was found on the Note 7, and personally, I don’t even see that as being a bummer for anyone who wants to get the phone.

As usual, the Infinix Note 7 Lite is available and currently on sale on both Jumia online platform and Infinix official online retail store, XPark.

And as you’d expected, prices vary very slightly for the phone across both platforms. 64,200 NGN on Infinix XPark, and 64,800 NGN on Jumia. You can check them out when you tap any of the links below.

Buy Infinix Note 7 Lite from Infinix XPark (64,200 NGN).

5. Infinix Hot 10

  • 6.78 Inches HD+ LCD Display.
  • 16MP Quad rear camera setup.
  • 8MP front-facing camera.
  • Mediatek Helio G70 Processor.
  • 3/4GB RAM + 64/128GB storage.
  • Android 10 + XOS 7 Dolphin UI.
  • 5200mAh battery.
  • Price: N/A

At the moment of writing this article, the Infinix Hot 10 hasn’t been released, but we have managed to get our hands on all of the specs that the phone is going to ship with.

Packing a Mediatek Helio G70 SoC that is paired to 3GB of RAM and somewhat chunky 64GB of internal storage for a phone that is coming out from the Infinix Hot lineups, then I’d say that the Infinix Hot 10 is definitely a phone for people who want to get the performance of the Infinix Note 7, but with an Infinix Hot type of price tag.

The display is a pretty large one, 6.78 Inches to be precise, and this phone is carrying one huge battery tank in it that is capped at 5200mAh.

It will ship with a quad-camera setup at the back, one that is similar to that of the Hot 9 from earlier this year. A 16MP main shooter that is accompanied closely by a 2MP depth sensor, another 2MP lens for taking macro shots, and a final QVGA sensor which I still don’t know what it does, even till date.

Like i said earlier, the Infinix Hot 10 is pre-released at the moment, so we don’t have any information as for the pricing yet, but when it finally does get released, we will definitely come back here to update this post.

6. Infinix S5

  • 6.6 Inches HD+ LCD hole-punch display.
  • 16MP Triple rear camera setup.
  • 32MP front-facing lens.
  • Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 (12 nm) processor.
  • 4/6GB RAM + 64/128GB storage.
  • Android™ 9.0 Pie + XOS 5.5 Cheetah.
  • 4000mAh battery.
  • Price: 69,500 NGN.
Infinix S5 android tips and tricks

Talk about looks, a large display, plenty of RAM and storage on a smartphone, the Infinix S5 got it all.

Being the first Infinix phone to come with an actual hole cutout on its display, talmabout the Samsung S10 series, the Infinix S5 boasts of a 6.6 Inches display, it also happens to be the first Infinix phone to ship with a 16MP triple rear camera setup on its back and a 32MP one on the front.

You’re getting 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage for the base models, but you can decide to go gangster and opt for the one with 6GB of RAM and an enormous 128GB of storage. It ships with android pie out of the box, with no hopes of being updated to android 10. sad thing..

The Infinix S5 is currently being sold for 69,500 NGN on Infinix official online retail store, XPark (check price here), and 66,000 NGN on Jumia online outlet (check price here).

Now considering these two outrageous and conflicting prices, if you asked me who the Infinix S5 is meant for at a time like this when we have the likes of the Infinix Note 7 with even better spec and camera setup at a slightly cheaper price.

Well, I’d say that one is a pretty hard question to answer, and I’m just gonna end it by saying, maybe someone who just wants to get the phone probably for very specific and personal reasons that are best known to them.

Cause left to me, there’s no day I’m gonna buy an android 9.0 Pie device that doesn’t have any hopes of ever being updated to the latest android version at such price when there are better deals littered all over the place. If they have brought it down to somewhere around 57,000 – 58,000 NGN, then it would have made more sense.

But it is what it is though, you can read our full review of the smartphone when you gently tap on the link below.

7. Infinix S4

  • 6.2 Inches HD+ LCD display, with a waterdrop notch.
  • 13MP Triple rear camera setup.
  • 32MP Front-facing lens.
  • Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 (12nm) Processor.
  • 3/6GB RAM + 32/64GB Storage.
  • Android™ 9.0 Pie + XOS 5.0 Cheetah.
  • 4000mAh battery.
  • Price: 62,500 NGN.

The Infinix S4 was the phone that Infinix used to usher us into revamped designs for its S series. It was the first Infinix phone to launch with a waterdrop notch display, and Infinix new XOS 5.0 Cheetah UI that was based on Android Pie.

Now before the S5 and Hot 8 both came out, the Infinix S4 was initially targeted at those who want all the good things that an Infinix smartphone could offer in terms of looks, software, battery, and even cameras.

Even with today’s design standard that has all smartphones now shipping with a hole punch display, the Infinix S4 doesn’t even look outdated by one bit.

For a price of 62,500 NGN on Jumia which I think is still on the high side for a smartphone that has been outshined by the likes of the Note 7 Lite shipping with way better spec, design, and cameras, but for just 2000 NGN more, personally I’ll say that if the price of the Infinix S4 could be brought down to say something like 55,000 – 56,000 NGN, it would have been an unavoidable deal

I mean, you’re getting the same Mediatek Helio P22 chipset that is found on the S5, a chunky 3GB or 6GB of RAM that is coupled tightly to a 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, a certified and affirmed top midrange standard 13MP triple rear camera combo with a huge 32MP lens on the front (same as the S5), all these in a compact, easy to carry and one-handed easy to operate body.

The only downside of this phone, one which I can think of is just the fact that it ships with android pie out of the box, and it definitely is not gonna be updated to any new android version, the same issue that we had on the S5.

And it’s a very sad thing. I mean, take a good look at these phones, especially the Infinix S4. This phone was a fan-favorite when it launched last year, but where is it now? Forgotten, neglected, and left to rot with the now aged android pie OS, simply because Infinix has refused to take responsibilities for their smartphones.

But left to me, I’d still pick the Infinix S4 over something like the Hot 9 at any time, and at any day, simply because it has a better processor, more RAM and storage, a better camera system, and its compact body.

You can go ahead and read our complete review about the smartphone by simply tapping the link below, and also see our detailed head-to-head comparison between it and the Infinix S5 and the Hot 8.

8. Best Infinix Phones: Infinix S5 Lite

  • 6.6 Inches HD+ hole punch LCD display.
  • 16MP Triple rear camera setup.
  • 16MP front-facing lens.
  • Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 (12nm) processor.
  • 3/4GB RAM + 32/64GB Internal storage.
  • Android™ 9.0 Pie + XOS 5.5 Cheetah UI.
  • 4000mAh battery.
  • Price: 55,700 NGN.
Infinix S5 android tips and tricks

The Infinix S5 Lite is simply a toned down and cheaper version of the original Infinix S5. So if you so much loved the S5, but don’t have up to a 69,000 NGN to shed out for a smartphone that wouldn’t be getting any new android updates, then the S5 Lite is definitely the phone for you.

Packing the same Mediatek Helio P22 processor like its elder brother, with a 3GB or 4GB of RAM configuration that is paired to a 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, the Infinix S5 Lite is a phone that will not leave you yearning for more.

The only spec difference that makes this phone different from the original Infinix S5 is for the fact the front-facing camera has been toned down to 16MP, instead of the 32MP lens that was found on both the S5 and S4.

Aside from that, every other thing has basically remained unchanged. The processor, RAM and storage choices, rear-facing main camera lens, battery size, display, etc, everything is identical across both phones.

So for 55,700 NGN on Infinix official online retail store, and 63,999 NGN on Jumia online outlet, you’re basically eating your cake in terms of the original Infinix S5, and having it back.

You can check out the phone on both aforementioned stores above when you simply tap on any of their respective links below.

Buy Infinix S5 Lite from Infinix XPark (55,700 NGN).
Buy Infinix S5 Lite from Jumia (63,999 NGN).

9. Infinix Hot 9

  • 6.6 Inches HD+ LCD Hole-punch display.
  • 13MP Quad rear camera setup.
  • Single 8MP Front Facing Lens.
  • Mediatek MT6761 Helio A25 (12 nm) Processor.
  • 2/3GB RAM + 32GB/64 Internal storage.
  • Android 10™ + XOS 6 Dolphin.
  • 5000mAh battery.
  • Price: 52,500 NGN.

In order to go straight to the point, who is this phone targeted at?

Simple, the Infinix Hot 9 is targeted at fans who just want a taste of Infinix android 10 OS, packaged in a more 2020-like design, a large battery, and a large screen, doesn’t mind if the performance is nothing to write home about, and at the same time doesn’t have up to 60,000 – 70,000 NGN to spend on the likes of the Infinix Note 7 and the Note 7 Lite, not to talk of the Zero 8.

So for a starting price of 52,500 NGN for the base model with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, you’re getting android 10 out of the box, one that is sugar-coated with Infinix new XOS 6 Dolphin UI version on it, a sluggish Mediatek Helio A25 chipset, and a manageable 13MP quad-camera setup.

So if you’re on a slightly lesser budget, but need a smartphone that runs on the latest version of Android, probably because you’re obsessed with it, a smartphone that lets you watch all your favorite movies for as long as you want on a big screen, and also help you get some light jobs done, then you should definitely go for the Infinix Hot 9

You can snag the Hot 9 for 52,500 NGN for the base model with 2GB of RAM and a 32GB of internal storage, or pay a little extra, 54,800 NGN for the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage version, both from Infinix official online retail store, XPark.

Buy Infinix Hot 9 from Infinix XPark.

Psst… You can learn more about the Infinix Hot 9 by reading our full review of it when you tap on this link.

10. Infinix Hot 8

  • 6.52 Inches HD+ LCD display with a waterdrop notch.
  • Triple rear camera setup (13 + 2 + QVGA sensor).
  • Single 8MP Front Facing Lens.
  • Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 (12 nm) – (2GB RAM + 32GB Storage model).
  • Android™ 9.0 Pie + XOS 5.5 Cheetah.
  • 5000mAh battery.
  • Price: 48,500 NGN.
Best Infinix phones for 2019

The Infinix Hot 8 is a predecessor to the Hot 9, and as such, I will say that it is targeted at people who doesn’t have up to 50,000 – 55,000 NGN to spend on the new Hot 9, so they’d better settle for the Hot 8 at 48,500 NGN, with the only varying feature between the two being the different versions of android that they’re running on.

So while the Infinix Hot 9 is busy cruising on top of android 10 with XOS 6 Dolphin skin on top, the Hot 8 is busy languishing in android 9 pie, with XOS 5 Cheetah skin on top, and no hopes of ever being updated to android 10.

Aside from this factor which i just stated, the Infinix Hot 9 is basically the same phone as the Hot 9 in a different form factor. The phone is currently sold on Jumia for 48,500 NGN, and for those who are interested, you can quickly grab it when you tap on the link given below.

Buy Infinix Hot 8 from Jumia.

You can read more about the Infinix Hot 8 right here…

11. Infinix Smart 5

  • 6.6 Inches HD+ LCD display.
  • 8MP + QVGA sensor.
  • 8MP front-facing camera.
  • Mediatek MT6761D Helio A20 (12 nm) processor.
  • 2GB RAM + 32GB Storage.
  • Android™ 10 (Go edition) + XOS 6 Dolphin.
  • 5000mAh battery.
  • Price: 39,500 NGN.

The Infinix Smart 5 is currently the cheapest android 10 powered Infinix mobile device that you can find in the market right now.

It is an entry-level device, and because of that, it is powered by a low tier Mediatek Helio A20 processor, comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. You’ll get an 8MP camera on both the front and back, a large 6.6 Inches display, with a beefy 5000mAh battery.

Left to me, i will say that the Infinix Smart 5 is targeted at people who can’t spend up to a 50,000 NGN for the Hot 9, but still want to cut a slice of its android 10 goodness on same large display, while doing so with a chunky battery.

So you’re basically getting the Infinix Hot 9 at a cheaper price with just a few, but negligible compromises, such as the Helio A22 processor, and the 8MP rear camera that comes it. Aside from that, everything else is basically the same across both smartphones.

The Smart 5 is currently sold for 39,500 NGN on Infinix official online retail store, XPark, while the Hot 9 goes for 52,500 NGN. So now you can see what you’re gaining in terms of price reduction, as opposed to what you lose in terms of spec.

12. Best Infinix Phones: Infinix Smart 4

  • 6.6 Inches HD+ LCD display.
  • 8MP rear camera.
  • 5MP front-facing camera.
  • Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 processor.
  • 1GB RAM + 16GB storage.
  • Android 9.0 Pie (Go edition).
  • 4000mAh battery.
  • Price: 38,500 NGN.

Now if you know you don’t have money at all, but you just need a smartphone that you can call your own.

You don’t care about the spec or whatsoever, for as long as it is good looking, and has a gigantic display that is especially good for watching movies, and comes with a beefy battery, then the Infinix Smart 4 is the phone for you.

It comes with same 6.6 Inches display as the Smart 5, same 8MP rear-facing camera but with a 5MP front-facing one. This phone was launched in late 2019, and so it comes with android pie (Go edition) out of the box, with no hopes of getting android 10, so you should have that in mind if you’re planning on getting this smartphone.

You’re getting 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage combo, as opposed to the one-upped 2GB RAM + 32GB combo that you’d get on the Smart 5, and the battery is capped at 4000mAh, which is still more than enough for a phone of this caliber if you’d ask me.

Now here’s where things got interesting. The Infinix Smart 4 is currently for 38,500 NGN on Infinix official online retail store, XPark, while the Smart 5 goes for 39,500 NGN on the same platform.

Now, left to you, which one will you go for? I bet you already know the answer. No one in their right senses will buy the Infinix Smart 4 when the Smart 5 is just a thousand naira more.

Alright guys, that will be all for now, and there you have it, all of the best Infinix smartphones that you can get your hands on in 2020.

Do give this post a thumbs up by sharing it if you enjoyed reading it, and as always, I’ll see you all tomorrow, #Peace Out.
