The Samsung Galaxy S11 has leaked, leaked, and leaked, and even still, will continue leaking, even up to a day before its launch. I mean that’s what Samsung is known for right?
So today we’re gonna be bringing all the rumors and leaks of the next generation S11 smartphones, into a single piece of article, and will keep updating this article on frequent occasions, as more spec are being leaked on daily basis.
So to kick off this session, we’re gonna start with..
Samsung Galaxy S11 – The Design
Although it has been rumored that there will be quite a lot of radical new changes in the next year’s Galaxy S11 series, but these changes are definitely not gonna really be significant in the design aspects of the Samsung Galaxy S11 series.
So as usual, we’ll be having two slabs of glass on the smartphones. One on the back, and the second one at the front, with an aluminum frame running between them.
Unlike the Galaxy S10 series that makes use of a single thin horizontal camera module at the back, the S11 series has been rumored to have more like a square bump camera module.
And as to the number and sizes of camera lenses that will be housed in this new square bump camera module, well, we’re coming back to that in a minute.
And as pertaining the overall device sizes and weight of the Samsung Galaxy S11 smartphones, well we don’t have any accurate data for that, but going by the rumors and spec leaks of the smartphones to feature way more significant larger displays and enormous battery sizes, then i think the Galaxy S11 smartphones should be significantly larger and heftier, than this year’s Galaxy S10 series.
Samsung Galaxy S11 – Display
- Sizes: 6.4 Inches (S11) | 6.7 Inches (S11+) vs 6.1 Inches (S10) | 6.4 Inches (S10+)
- Features: 120Hz refresh rate
Now these are one of the aspects where the changes on the next gen’s Galaxy S11 starts to be become more pronounced than ever before.
According to rumors and numerous spec leaks, the S11 are said to come with significantly larger display sizes, with an almost non-existent top and bottom bezels.

The hole punches this time, are gonna be positioned on the center at the top of the devices, as opposed to the side placements of the Galaxy S10 series.
And in addition to all these, rumor has it that Samsung has decided to go gangster, and ship the Galaxy S11 models with an ass whooping 120Hz refresh rate displays, at a time when devices such as OnePlus and the Google Pixel devices, are intimidating everyone with 90Hz refresh rate displays.
- 108MP (primary lens)
- 48MP (telephoto lens), 5x optical zoom
From many renders which have created by different folks for the Galaxy S11 models, it appears that Samsung is stepping up their photography game, by making use of, not one, not two, not three, but up to four, or even maybe up to five individual camera lenses on the Galaxy S11.
We don’t know if these number of camera lenses is gonna be the same across all the S11 models, or if the numbers are gonna be lesser and increase upwards from the S11e, to the S11 and the the S11+.
But what we know for sure is that, among these many camera lenses, one is gonna be Samsung’s new 108MP sensor, and another one, which happens to be the telephoto lens, is gonna be a 48MP shooter, and it will be capable of doing a 5x optical zoom.
We don’t have news for now as to what the front lens is gonna be like, but we sure know that since Samsung is making radically new changes across the Galaxy S11 models, especially in the camera department, then we’re in a for a treat even on the front facing cameras.
Hardware & Software
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (USA & China) | Exynos 990 (Global)
- RAM + Storage: 12GB + 512GB – 1TB
- Android version: Android 10 + OneUI 2.0
As it has been tradition, Samsung is gonna be making use of a combination of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon and its own in-house built Exynos chipsets for the Galaxy S11 models.
So for the markets in the US and China, the Samsung Galaxy S11 are gonna be sold with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 processor, while the rest of the world gets Samsung’s latest Exynos 990 chipset.
It has also been rumored that Samsung is gonna be making use of a faster LPDDR5 RAM, and this simply translates to 30% more speed, and 30% more efficiency.
And as for the actual RAM sizes, we’re not expecting anything lesser than 12GB at least on the regular S11 and S11+ models, and these may be paired with up to 1TB of storage.
Samsung already took off the headphones jack on the Galaxy Note 10, so we’re not expecting it either, on the S11 models.
And as for software, the Samsung Galaxy S11 are expected to launch with android 10, with OneUI 2.0 baked right on top of it.
We don’t know if there’s gonna be something like maybe new software changes or additions to the S11, but we’ll find out, sooner or later.
Samsung Galaxy S11 – Biometrics
Samsung is still maintaining its under-display fingerprints reader, but this time, they’re even making the sensors larger, so you have more screen area to place your fingers on, in order to unlock the phone.
We know for sure that Samsung is not investing a lot of time and money, to counter the 3D face unlock systems that we got on devices such as the iPhones, Huawei and the new Google Pixel devices.
Because if they did, they wouldn’t be more concerned on shrinking the top bezel of the S11 models any further. But since they did, it means they’re still sticking with regular 2D face unlock, for the Galaxy S11 models.
- 4500mAh (Samsung Galaxy S11) vs 3400mAh (S10)
- 5000mAh (S11+) vs 4100mAh (S10+)
Though we’re not yet getting Samsung’s new still in the works graphite batteries, but what’s new here, is that we’re getting pretty large battery cells, on the Galaxy S11 models.
So according to rumors, the next gen s11 models are said to ship with 4500mAh & 5000mAh power-cells, respectively for the Galaxy S11 and S11+ models.
This is a big jump, considering the 3400mAh and 4100mAh of this year’s Galaxy S10 and S10+ models respectively.
And then in addition to the large battery sizes, the S11 models are rumored to ship with charging speeds of up to 25W.
Personally, i don’t know true this particular rumor is, considering the fact that the Galaxy Note 10+ already ships with up to 45W charging speeds, and even the likes of Huawei and OnePlus both doing 40W and 30W respectively, i think it’d be a shame if Samsung goes ahead with this plan.
Samsung Galaxy S11 – Release Date
The Samsung Galaxy S11 are expected to launch on the 18th of February 2020, meaning that we just have a approximately a couple of months to go.
